At 8:00 AM on June 15, the G871 Fuxing EMU train, the first on the route operating at a speed of 350 km/h, departed from Wuhan Railway Station. This marks the completion of the high-standard demonstration line on the Wuhan-Guangzhou section of the Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway and the achievement of 350 km/h standard operation for Fuxing EMU trains along the entire line. Simultaneously, 24 new smart Fuxing EMU trains were introduced on the Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway, increasing the number of high-quality benchmark trains to 99. This development further reduces travel time between multiple cities along and near the line, enhances operational quality, and provides passengers with a better travel experience.

The Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway is one of the main north-south corridors of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. Spanning a total length of 2,298 kilometers, it traverses six provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Guangdong. It connects key regions such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated development area, the Central Plains city cluster, the Yangtze River middle reaches city cluster, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, playing a crucial role in the national railway network. The achievement of 350 km/h standard operation for Fuxing EMU trains on the Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway further strengthens intercity connections along the route, facilitates convenient travel for the public, and injects new momentum into the implementation of national strategies and regional economic and social development.
